Getting started
Do I need a diagnosis to use DysPhilter?
No. You do not need a diagnosis, a label, or a referral. If you need help with communication, you can use it. That is the whole point.
Is DysPhilter free?
There is a free tier so cost is never a barrier. Paid plans add more tools and storage. You can see what is included on the home page.
Can children and young people use it?
Yes. DysPhilter has tools built for children and young people, with extra safeguards. A parent, carer, or trusted adult can help set things up. Young people stay in control of what they share.
Who is behind DysPhilter?
DysPhilter was built by Ros Millett from lived neurodivergent experience. It is a registered trademark with a patent filed.
What DysPhilter does
Does DysPhilter give legal or medical advice?
No. DysPhilter helps you communicate and keep evidence. It is not a substitute for a solicitor, doctor, or other professional. For high-stakes matters like immigration or family law, DysPhilter points you to a qualified advisor.
Does DysPhilter work with Access to Work?
Yes. You can ask for DysPhilter by name as the assistive communication support that Access to Work pays for. It is not a loan and you do not pay it back. See our Access to Work page for the steps.
Your privacy and your data
Is my information safe?
Your information is stored on secure cloud servers, not only on your device. This means your records and evidence are safe even if your phone or computer is lost or stolen.
Messages that DysPhilter filters are processed to protect you. The raw content of harmful messages is sealed in your Truth Vault and only shown to you if you choose to unlock it.
Can my employer see my personal messages?
No. Your Personal Edition is private. If you also use a Work (Enterprise) profile, the two are kept separate. Your employer cannot see, read, or track your personal data.
What is the Truth Vault?
It is a sealed, time-stamped record of messages that were blocked or changed. Each entry is chained and hashed so it cannot be secretly edited. It is designed to be admissible as evidence under the Civil Evidence Act 1995.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. You can ask for your data to be erased at any time. See our Privacy Policy for how this works. Some sealed evidence records may be kept if the law requires it.
