Contextual Register Intelligence

The same intent is expressed in five different ways depending on the household context. This prevents language that could trigger RSD or PDA panic in different relationships. The register matters as much as the words.

I've Hit a Wall

Texts trusted contact

“Just having a quiet day to rest. I'm completely safe — I'll just be a bit quiet today, that's all.”

Food & Medication Needs

Automated voice clip to front-door courier

“Please leave the delivery outside by the front door and ring the bell. Thank you.”

Can't Be Bothered

Deactivates internal prompts, texts close friends

“Completely out of battery today. Talk to you another time.”

Audio Pipeline Update

The recording pipeline now captures an 800-millisecond Room Tone Anchor (pure room silence) before the person speaks. If a vocal block, tic, gasp, or exhaustion freeze occurs during recording, the system snips out the spike and patches it with the room tone. The person never has to restart. Stutters, natural pauses, and vocal characteristics stay. Only involuntary painful blocks are smoothed.

Color-Blind Safe Geometric Modes

Four modes, each with a unique color + shape pairing. Minimum 7:1 contrast ratio. Red and green spectrum is entirely banned across all interfaces.

Survival Mode

Textless, massive palm targets

Unbothered Mode

Social battery dead, flat calm space

Grounding keywords: HEY, MORE, THANKS

Design Principle

The same intent — “I need to rest” — sounds different when said to a partner vs. a support worker vs. a flatmate. The system chooses the register that feels natural and safe for each relationship, so the person never has to worry about how their message will land.
